How to Make an Inference: Have Students Practice Inferencing with Engaging Images!

Updated: Sep 26

How do you teach the skill of inferencing? Based on Common Core Standards, students should be able to draw conclusions about text based on inferences beginning in 4th grade.

BUT why wait until 4th grade? You can begin to practice inferencing skills as early as kindergarten! The difference will be the amount of detail the students are expected to give and the format for their response.
